Legend has it that deep within the forests of Bald Eagle Mountain, there roams the ghost of a miner who met a tragic end during the mining boom of the 19th century. This miner, known as Old Jack by the locals, was said to have been a hard-working and respected member of the community. However, one fateful day, an accident deep inside the mines claimed his life. His body was never recovered, leaving his spirit to wander the mountain for eternity. Locals claim to have seen his ghostly figure wandering the old mining paths, carrying a dimly lit lantern and calling out for his lost companions. Some even say they have heard the faint sound of pickaxes striking against rock echoing through the forest. Many believe that Old Jack’s spirit is stuck in limbo, searching for closure and peace.
