A reclusive man, Richard kept to himself, having put his trust in his housekeeper Ann Marten. Unluckily, he chose her wrong. One evening, seeking his wealth for herself and her lover, Ann murdered Richard in cold blood. Richard Lowten’s lifeless body was discovered with his throat slit and his home ransacked.
